Billy RichardsTrainee solicitor
Trainee solicitor in the funding and finance team
I am a trainee solicitor in the funding and finance team. My role is to assist the wider funding and finance team with various finance projects and funding exercises.
I began my training at Anthony Collins Solicitors in September 2019, working with our local government team until March 2020. During this time, I gained experience with planning and highways agreements and procurement processes, with an emphasis on social value.
I then worked with our property team until January 2021, where I predominantly worked with third sector organisations. In this seat, I was involved in drafting commercial leases, residential conveyancing, and submitting first registration applications to HM Land Registry.
In my third seat, I worked with our employment and pensions team. Here, I gained experience advising on a variety of employment and pensions issues, including defending employment tribunal claims, dealing with complaints brought under an internal dispute resolution procedure and drafting employment contracts and service agreements. I also advised employers on managing the risks associated with their admission into public sector pension schemes.
