Elected member training
Are your members’ development needs met? We offer four bespoke training sessions, which can include interactive role play:
- Standards and Code of Conduct – Providing members with an understanding of how the Code applies to them, the arrangements for dealing with complaints and their task as a standards committee.
- Managing in a political environment – An explanation of the roles of members and officers working in local government.
- Chairing skills – Equipping members with the necessary skills to navigate public meetings in accordance with your constitution.
- Planning committee – Essential training on the obligations members have as decision-makers.
