This virtual event is an introduction to employee ownership. A team of expert lawyers (David Alcock, Adrian Leonard, Alice Kinder) were joined by Ritchie Tout from Mazars LLP and Jeremy Gadd from J Gadd Associates, who looked at employee ownership in the context of the practical, financial and ethical benefits the approach can give, with experts in law, tax and cultural change for organisations. Employee ownership can provide a tax-efficient option in succession planning for current business owners, but also a strategy for promoting employee engagement. During the session, they provided an overview of why employee ownership should be considered as a:
- strategy for giving employees a voice in your business
- genuine and realistic alternative to the traditional business sale or management buy-out
It also shows how, if done properly, employee ownership can be a catalyst to future success for the business.
