This webinar will look at the key changes to the Charities Act 2022 that came into force on 20 June 2023 focussing on the:
- revised requirements for the disposal of land by charities, both selling and leasing; and
- new statutory powers to enable charities, in certain circumstances, without Charity Commission authority, to:
- spend ‘smaller value’ permanent endowment; and
- borrow up to 25% of the value of their permanent endowment fund.

This session is designed for charity trustees, senior managers and anyone involved in charity governance who would like to understand the technical changes brought about by the Charities Act 2022 and in particular anyone dealing on a regular basis with the disposal of charity property or the management of permanent endowment funds/trusts.
