Time flies when you’re working for an award-winning law firm improving lives, communities and society, and we’re fast approaching the end of another successful business year. I’m sure you can point to some great work that we’ve done with clients or successful projects that we’ve been part of, but have you stopped to think about the great people you work with?
In our social impact report, we say ‘ACS attracts brilliant lawyers and staff who are driven by our values and passionate about our purpose and vision’, and we’re giving you the chance to recognise these brilliant people in the firm’s inaugural ‘Unsung Heroes’ awards.
What’s an Unsung Hero?
Unsung Heroes are people that quietly go about going the extra mile – they don’t need to, but they want to. There are no set criteria to be an Unsung Hero, but:
- They embody the values of the firm and want to make this a great place to work through the impact they have on others.
- They make a difference to you, whether helping you in your working life or realising you’re just having a bit of tough time and need some help or support.
- They probably don’t even realise they’re doing it or the difference they’re making, but they make your day a bit better just by being in it.
- They’re usually in the background and wouldn’t be looking for recognition, which makes the award even more special.
Do you know someone like that? We want to know!
All nominations will go forward to an independent judging panel (who, unfortunately, will not be eligible for nominations) chaired by David Alcock. The panel will whittle the nominations down and surprise the winners on Thursday 16 May at the end-of-year party.
If you have any questions, please let either Andrew Gilyead or Kate Granger know. We look forward to receiving your nominations!
NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. MAKE SURE YOU'RE AT THE STAFF PARTY TO FIND OUT WHO HAS WON!
