Chris Whittington will be speaking on ‘Leading from the Centre’ at The Diocese of Worcester’s annual Governors’ Conference.
“Truly transformative leadership arises from a depth of self-awareness, embodies humility, and is characteristically collaborative and other-centered.”
In his session, Chris will outline key aspects of the work he is undertaking with the School of Education at a leading UK university to develop a unique leadership development programme that combines the cultivation of character virtues, collaborative models and skills, with greater self-awareness through contemplative practice.
Chris is a Partner and Head of Education at Anthony Collins Solicitors. He was introduced to meditation in the Christian tradition at 19 while living at the Benedictine monastery of Prinknash Abbey. He spent a period of time as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM) and regularly gives talks on meditation and leads retreats across the country.
