Trainee solicitor in the governance and commercial department

My role

I commenced my training contract in September 2021 and am currently undertaking a seat in the employment and pensions department. I assist clients on a range of issues including defending tribunal proceedings, negotiating settlement agreements, drafting HR policies and procedures, and dealing with pensions disputes.

My experience

During the first year of my training contract, I completed seats in our court of protection team (where I helped individuals who are not deemed to have capacity to manage their own property and finances) and our governance and commercial team (where I was involved with incorporations, mergers and restructures, and governance disputes).

Prior to commencing my training contract, I was a paralegal in our construction team, where I assisted with the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts and disputes over building defects.

I have an LLB in Law from the University of Birmingham and completed my LPC at the University of Law, Birmingham.

My specialisms
