Narinder Singh

Legal director

Legal director in the childcare team

My role

Narinder is a legal director in the childcare team within the private legal services department. He undertakes all aspects of work relating to children’s law, involving disputes between parents, family members or where a local authority is involved with a child.

Narinder represents the most vulnerable children in our society, who find themselves part of contentious litigation brought by the state as protective measures or amidst disputes between parents and family members. He represents both adults and children in complex proceedings that involve wide-ranging issues such as suspected inflicted injuries, fabricated illness, adoption and physical, emotional and sexual abuse.

Narinder qualified as a solicitor in 2015, having gained invaluable experience in children’s law for over seven years and joined Anthony Collins in July 2018.

He is an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and a member of the Association for Lawyers for Children. His experience and role at the firm allow him to assist vulnerable individuals in a range of different cases at all levels of court, from lay magistrates to the High Court.

His notable cases include:

N (A Child) (Termination of children’s guardian) [2022] EWFC B16

Birmingham City Council v SK [2016] EWHC 310 (Fam)

Re X (A Child) (Surrogacy: Time Limit) [2014] EWHC 3135 (Fam)
