My role

I am a legal director in the construction team advising in relation to the drafting and negotiation of all forms of construction and engineering agreements and wider issues in respect of such projects.

My experience

I am a dedicated construction and engineering law specialist with over 17 years of post-qualification experience, preceded by two years of on-site industry experience, and have a career-long interest in best-practice construction procurement and supply-chain management. I specialise in advising on the delivery of construction and engineering projects, helping clients to understand the allocation and pricing of risk and to formulate legal policy.

I work with stakeholders across the industry to achieve their objectives efficiently and cost-effectively and have worked across many sectors from highways, utilities, process plant, rail and healthcare to social housing and private sector developments. I also have experience in dispute prevention and resolution.

Before training as a lawyer, my degree in construction engineering management allowed me to combine employment with a leading international contractor, four on-site placements on major UK/EU projects and training in engineering, accounts, quantity surveying, contract administration and procurement.
