The Housing Corporate Finance (HCF) team at Anthony Collins Solicitors acts for housing associations on the strategic governance and projects work They work closely and consistently with executives and board members as part of their team to help them to deliver their charitable objectives successfully and efficiently.
The breadth of the team’s clients base, contacts and sector knowledge, means they understand the complex situations our clients are navigating. The team’s submission showcases the work they do across the social housing sector, working with private social housing providers, to develop innovative solutions and opportunities to help clients adapt to the significant changes brought about by the Government’s housing policy changes.

The team has recently completed the consolidation of Thirteen Group in the North East, the innovative £160m development joint venture between Trafford Housing Trust and L&Q in the North West, the first Welsh RSL capital markets bond issues (£250m for Pennaf Housing Group), and in the Midlands, whg’s issues of £50m of its retained bonds and, on 27 July 2017, the formation of the Connexus Group between Shropshire Housing Group and Herefordshire Housing.
The private client team at Anthony Collins Solicitors provides a holistic private client service, which covers:
- Wills, trusts, tax planning and probate;
- Mental health and mental capacity;
- Property and finance Court of Protection; and
- Health and welfare Court of Protection.
With three Office of Public Guardian panel deputies and three approved mental health practitioners, the team is equipped to support our clients through a range of difficult life events.
