Every community contains neighbourhoods, the local spaces to which people who live there relate. Neighbourhood level change is back on the agenda at a national level; the Government’s commitment to invest over £5 billion into selected neighbourhoods across the UK over the next 10 years (2025–2036) is a welcome opportunity. That funding can help create positive change. It also puts a great responsibility on those who will form the neighbourhood boards to ensure that their proposed development plans are robust enough to come to fruition while sticking to the budget allocated. Our Neighbourhoods Hub will provide insights from our team, who advised across the original New Deal for Communities programme and have played a leading role in community asset transfer, community-led housing, and all kinds of local initiatives, as we move through the Government’s timetable from planning to delivery.
