Webinar – Collaboration in children’s social care: what does the future look like?

As the Government moves ahead with the rollout of Regional Care Cooperatives (RCCs), this webinar will examine what the new model means in practice for children’s social care providers and the wider sector.

The session will cover:

• How commissioning is expected to evolve under a collaborative regional model
• Key learning from the pathfinder programmes, including what has worked well and where challenges remain
• The Government’s direction of travel and implementation plans for RCCs
• Wider reforms introduced by the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026

We’ll be joined by our guest speaker – Allan Madeley, director of HOME Fostering and children’s and families at Social adVentures. Allan will share his experience of leading the Greater Manchester RCC pathfinder programme and explain how innovation and collaboration can drive positive change across the sector. Allan brings experience from both the local authority and provider perspectives.

You will also hear from our local government team, who have been closely involved in the Greater Manchester Regional Care Cooperative pathfinder and will share practical insights.

The webinar will help organisations stay ahead of significant system change by offering a clearer understanding of the direction of travel and practical guidance.
