Roundtable: Preparing for STAIRs – The position of for-profit providers

This round table event, open to for-profit providers* only, will explore the forthcoming requirements of STAIRs and areas of key interest to for-profit providers. Led by Ben Pumphrey, the author of the sector-wide operational guidance for STAIRs, the session will discuss the key lessons learnt from the national working party and address:
- What are the key actions that for-profit providers should take to prepare for STAIRs?
- How should providers’ obligations under STAIRs be effectively delegated to managers?
- Under what circumstances will for-profit providers be able to withhold or redact confidential information? What does ‘reasonable’ mean in this context?
- How will the Ombudsman deal with complaints under STAIRs and where are the key risks for for-profit providers?
This virtual round table will have a limited maximum attendance to allow delegates to fully participate to understand their obligations, discuss key areas of risk and raise implementation concerns.
