My role
I specialise in all areas of real estate, including commercial property, predominately in social housing development and regeneration schemes. I act for Registered Providers (RPs) in connection with land transactions for the development of social housing, stock transfers and property securitisation. I also work with developers, negotiating sales of units to Registered Providers as well as acting for lenders where an RP is charging stock to the lender.
My experience
My experience has been gained from working on both sides, working in-house at a local authority, leading the property team and Birmingham City Council. This has given me first-hand insight into the challenges public-sector bodies face and the partnership between local authorities and RPs. I also lead the social housing team at a previous law firm prior to joining Anthony Collins Solicitors.
