I head up our dispute resolution team, working with clients to resolve a wide range of commercial and property related disputes. In resolving complex disputes I lead teams of advisors from various disciplines to construct a plan to resolve the issues as quickly and as cost effectively as possible.
My background in commercial property disputes includes regularly advising on strategic property management issues, predominantly with clients in the social housing and commercial sectors. I’m also a speaker at Housemark events, and is ranked as a ‘notable practitioner’ by Chambers 2015 for real estate litigation.
There have been three recent cases where the Courts have had to determine disputes about the validity of break notices.
This case is about the tricky and contested issue of break clauses. Often, the exercise of a break option is conditional on the tenant paying the rent in full for the given quarter.
