Improving Society

Chief executives, membership bodies, policy advisors and government organisations all have important roles to play in making social policy work. When our clients are managing and leading organisations supporting the vulnerable and building a better society, they need legal advisors who they can trust.

We aim to make the law as accessible as possible, working in partnership so that we can pre-empt any issues.

To support our clients, our experts write regular briefings aimed at our sectors or specific areas of law so whether a social enterprise, co-op, values-based business, adult health and social care provider or registered provider of social housing, our advisors provide significant depth of advice.

As part of our commitment to improving society, the firm offers all staff and partners the opportunity to take up to three paid days per year to volunteer for a cause of their choice, including working with schools to provide practice interview support and advice and volunteering in charity shops. The scheme also allows parents to support their roles as school governors.

The firm also supports our clients in rewarding their staff, and we’ve provided sponsorship and donations to enable the purchase of gifts for staff award ceremonies or reward days.
