Governance is the thing that will ultimately destroy your business. Bad decisions and poor risk management are the things that will bring your business down.” Jonathan Walters, deputy director of strategy and performance, Social Housing Regulator – March 2018

What is it about?

Anthony Collins Solicitors and David Tolson Partnership are delighted to invite you to a joint workshop. This will explore the following key points:

  • Lessons to be learnt from recent developments and downgrades in the sector;
  • What has de-regulation meant for the sector so far, and where could we go next?
  • The interplay between corporate governance and operational governance;
  • What’s coming next for the sector, particularly in light of recent Charity Commission developments and the recommendations of the Social Housing Green paper, and how residents may be empowered through governance (and other) models.

Who is it for?

Board Members and Executive Team members of registered providers in social housing.

Why should you attend?

Good governance is the cornerstone of a strong organisation. There has been an increased focus on what good governance looks like as a result of diversification in the sector and further scrutiny is anticipated as a result the social housing green paper. This workshop is designed to encourage participants to share knowledge and experience and gain insight into relevant legal and strategic issues.
