What is it about?
The aim of this seminar is to provide charity trustees and potential trustees with an introduction to their duties, responsibilities and the potential liabilities that charity trustees face.
It will also explain the basic legal structures of charitable companies, charitable incorporated organisations, trusts and unincorporated organisations.
There will also be opportunity to look at powers to remove trustees and catch up on the possible changes coming in the charity world.
The seminar will focus on making the law clear and practical. We will work together through some case studies to see how the theory works out in practice.
Who will be there?
- Charity trustees
- Those considering becoming charity trustees
- Senior staff of charities so that they understand the duties and liabilities of their trustees.
Why should I attend?
If you have never got to grips with exactly what is expected of a charity trustee or understood the potential personal liability of a charity trustee, then this is the seminar for you. All will finally become clear!
Registration from 9.30am.
