How to ensure your contracts comply with the CMA’s Guidance and enhance your market position.
What is it about?
The purpose of this workshop is to provide practical insight into how to develop your contracts and other “touch points” with customers and potential customers in ways which are compliant with the recently issued final guidance on care home terms and conditions issued by the CMA. The workshop will be led by experts in contract and consumer law in the Health and Social Care Sector and will cover:
- all of the major changes proposed by the CMA;
- areas where there is flexibility and how that might be used;
- the potential selling points which proactive providers should employ to gain market advantage;
- and what the changes mean for other matters such as local authority funding, top-ups and guarantees.
Why should you attend?
A failure to follow the CMA Guidance leaves you at risk of having disputes; issues of contracts being unenforceable, and having to respond to complaints to the CMA or local trading standards officers. Ultimately such failures can lead to significant financial penalties and prosecution.

The workshop is aimed at senior executives responsible for the operational market and financial aspects of care homes.

Who will be there?
Please be aware that places for this seminar are limited. Our clients get priority over non- clients but we will endeavour to increase capacity where we can to allow all those who wish to attend a place. Where we are heavily oversubscribed we will limit places to one or two people per organisation in which case you may be asked to liaise with your team. Should we have to do any of the above we will be in touch with you at least 2 weeks before the event date.
