This is a day-long training session aimed at those working with assured tenancies and designed to keep your team’s knowledge up-to-date with the latest in housing law.
What's it about?
- Do you have new members of staff who need to build on their experience in the housing sector?
- Do you have a team of housing officers who need to have the same level of knowledge or need to update their existing knowledge?
- Are your staff moving from a bespoke area of practice to a more generic role and need training on unfamiliar areas of housing law?
If the answer is “yes”, then we have designed an interactive one-day seminar to equip officers of all levels working within the assured housing sector with a solid understanding of housing law, ensuring that a uniform approach is taken by all officers within your teams.
This practical session includes the opportunity to carry out exercises and case studies to ensure theory can be seen in practice and will cover topics such as:
- How a tenancy is formed;
- How tenancies can be terminated by both the landlord and the tenant;
- Grounds for possession;
- Abandonment; and
- 09:00 Registration for a 09:30 start
- 11:00 Break
- 12:30 Lunch (45 mins)
- 13:15 Reconvene
- 15:00 Break
- 16:00 Finish
