Roundtable event: Cheyne Investment/Property Development Model

We are hosting a roundtable event with Cheyne Social Property Impact Fund and South Yorkshire Housing Association for an inside review of Cheyne’s investment model - in practice - in relation to the delivery of new housing projects.

You will be aware that South Yorkshire HA and Cheyne completed the first development and lease model of its kind which draws on funding from Cheyne Social Property Impact Fund to deliver a 225 unit scheme, 35% of which will be let at sub-market rents to key workers and 65% of which will be  for ethical PRS.

Having acted for South Yorkshire HA on the project, we have had many enquiries from like-minded clients about how the model really works, so we thought it would be a good idea to get the key protagonists around the table to provide the ‘inside track’.

Why should you attend?

The first units are due to be handed over in June and the intention is to provide a brief overview of the model with a live review of the project so far and to have an informal and open discussion on the questions people really want to know!

There will also be an opportunity to hear about how the model has been applied recently in Bristol on what has been described as the UK’s first private sector rent-to-buy model.

Who is this event for?

This will be a ‘by invitation only’ event for representatives from those housing associations who may be interested in similar projects.  If you would be interested, we would be delighted if you would be able to attend.
