On 30 June 2020, the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, announced a reform to the planning system. The proposed reform included new Use Classes and an expansion of Permitted Development rights. On 1 September 2020, three new Use Classes and two additional Permitted Development rights were implemented. However, a legal challenge by the climate change action campaign group Rights: Community Action may cause these reforms to be set aside.
The session will cover what the new Use Classes and Permitted Development rights are, how they work and any limitations of which Local Authorities and developers should be aware.
This webinar is aimed at local councils, housing associations, social businesses.
Our expert speakers for this session will be Stuart Evans and Billy Richards.
