These issues and more will be discussed at an event co-hosted by the Association of Chairs and Anthony Collins Solicitors which is part of a wider national conversation initiated by Civil Society Futures.

Civil Society Futures is a national, independent, collaborative inquiry looking to develop a clear vision for the role of civil society in England for the next 10 years.  The aim of the event is to encourage discussion on the big questions and dilemmas this throws up and gather the collective views of attendees which will be fed into the final Civil Society Futures report.  We are delighted that Julia Unwin who is the Chair of the inquiry will be in attendance contributing to the wider discussion.

The theme of our conversation will be the governance and leadership of charities from the smallest, informal volunteer-led bodies to the largest national campaigners and service providers. What defines the kind of governance which releases rather than holds back potential?  How can trustees deal with the level and complexity of the accountabilities they are faced with? What has to be controlled and what might be freed up?

If you want to exchange views on these challenges and future opportunities, please join us on 7th December.
