What is it about?
The seminar will focus on emergency inheritance tax planning, particularly focusing on planning for and using the reorganisation of share capital rules. It is very common to receive enquiries about inheritance tax planning when an individual is unlikely to survive the two year period for investing in assets that qualify for business property relief, let alone the seven years required to survive a potentially exempt transfer. In this seminar, we will look at one of the few options available to clients.
Who is this event for?
Financial advisers and wealth managers. The seminar is helpful for advisers who act for people who run their own companies and who have wealthy parents; or indeed wealthy individuals who happen to have children who run their own businesses.
Why should you attend?
We will guide you through the technical, practical and logistical issues around an unusual form of inheritance tax planning, with a view to providing you with the ability to spot opportunities to save client families significant sums of inheritance tax. The day will give you fresh ideas for your clients and, in some cases, resolve problems that may initially look unsolvable – thus benefitting your profile with your clients significantly.
