The draft new Value for Money Standard (which is currently out for consultation) sets out a new “specific expectation” for registered providers to give “full consideration of costs and benefits of alternative commercial, organisational and delivery structures”.  This seminar is designed for RPs who are considering whether their structure and governance is fit for purpose in light of their strategic objectives and makes best use of resources.

Who should attend?

Executive Team Members and Chairs who wish to explore:

  • Key questions to consider when reviewing their current group structure against future objectives;
  • Potential and existing work streams within their group structure and where these are best placed; and
  • Common hurdles and obstacles and how these can be overcome.

The session will explore a wide variety of factors, including development, disposals programmes, mergers, commercial activity funding options and good governance.

Considering the increasingly diverse nature of RPs’ activities and how best you should structure these from a legal, tax and risk perspective. Looking at structures for “core” social housing and charitable activities, and what are the key questions, hurdles and objectives to consider if you are considering “merging” or reviewing your structure.

This session looks at the various methods for raising finance, from traditional bank funding through to the capital markets and project finance, and how to identify the best method for your organisation.
