Ella forum delivers unique experiential leadership programmes both in the charity and not for profit sectors. They achieve this by adopting strong collaborative partnerships and working with others who have a passion for developing inspirational, motivational and happy working environments. More specifically, they bring CEOs and emerging leaders together in small workshops on a monthly basis that foster an interactive learning environment.
What's it about?
Why having an inclusive leadership style will make you a more effective leader — this is a very topical subject in light of the claims against high profile figures in the entertainment and business world.
Why should you attend?
Those attending will learn about their own unconscious bias and how to consciously become a leader that will inspire those around them to the benefit of both themselves and their charity/organisation. They will go away with fresh ideas, tips and techniques to enter the path of becoming an inclusive leader.
0930 General welcome from Danny Kalman (Ella CEO) and a few words from Peter Hubbard, Senior Partner – Anthony Collins Solicitors
0945 Unconscious Bias awareness and how it effects our decision making - Sneha Khilay - Ella Chair and member of the Ella Leadership team. This will be a highly inter-active session.
1100 Coffee break
1130 Conscious Inclusion, Paul Anderson Walsh – Board Member of Ella .
Following the previous session thinking about unconscious bias we will discuss its antidote i.e. conscious inclusion. The inclusion agenda is about increasing performance and we will demonstrate that when people feel included their contribution to their organisation significantly increases. Once again, an interactive session with lots of tips, techniques and tools.
1245 - 1345 Lunch
1345 ACL (Action Centre Learning) is all about learning from your peers by sharing experiences in a safe and confidential environment. Participants will be split into groups of eight and each group will be facilitated by an experienced Ella chair. Participants will be encouraged to think about an issue that is related to the theme of the conference and share this with the other members. There will then be a vote to decide on two of the issues raised for the group to focus on in more detail.
1400 - 1445 Discussion of first issue
1445 - 1530 Discussion of second issue
1530 - 15.45 Learning and ‘takeaways’ from the day
1545 - 1600 Q&A, summary and closing remarks
