Cycling UK has been in the media a great deal calling for a wide-ranging review of the law on traffic offences to reduce road danger. Meanwhile, Client Earth has hit the headlines regularly as it takes legal action in pursuit of environmental aims. Join us to hear from Duncan Dollimore of Cycling UK and from Andrea Lea of Client Earth explain how their charities have used the law to pursue charitable aims.
The timetable for the day is:
- 17:30 for 18:00 – Arrival and Welcome
- 18:00 – Duncan Dollimore, Road Safety and Legal Campaigns Officer at CyclingUK, will talk about the Mason case, the first crowd-funded private prosecution for dangerous driving.
- 18:30 – Andrea Lee, Healthy Air campaigner at Client Earth, will present about the legal action being taken against the Government on air quality.
- 19:00 – A Q&A session with Duncan, Andrea and our Charities sector lead, Shivaji Shiva.
