Fraud is estimated to cost the third sector over £1.65 billion every year. Fraudsters are becoming ever more sophisticated identifying and exploiting new areas of vulnerability for third sector organisations.
Prevention is better than cure so don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn more about this high risk issue. In this workshop, experts from Anthony Collins Solicitors will explore a range of issues associated with fraud in the third sector.
Through interactive case studies and mini workshops, participants will have the opportunity to learn:
- How best to react in the immediate aftermath of an attack;
- The steps required to trace missing assets;
- How best to prevent and deter fraudulent attacks;
- How to manage the associated governance and reputational risks.
We will be joined by an external accountant, Mike Huggins, who is experienced in working with those in the third sector to overcome fraud.
Our speakers from ACS are experts in the law as it relates to charities including specialists in governance, data protection and cyber security and employment law matters. They are Shivaji Shiva , Jane Burns , Stephen Dalling , Alison Room and Cynyr Rhys.
