Following Anthony Collins Solicitors’ (ACS) five nominations for this year’s Birmingham Law Society’s Legal Awards, we are delighted to announce that Jaspreet Atwal was awarded Paralegal of the Year at last night’s (21st April) ceremony.
Jas graduated in law in 2011 and is currently studying to do her MA (LPC with Business). She joined ACS in November 2014 and has worked across a number of property securitisation projects in the Built Environment department for a variety of national housing clients.
Will Allen, Matthew Roach, Julie McGuigan, and last year’s Paralegal of the Year winner, Natalie Moustache were also nominated for awards at the 15th annual awards ceremony and dinner at the ICC.
ACS Senior Partner, Peter Hubbard, said: “To have five of our team nominated this year really demonstrates the quality of the individuals we recruit and we are very proud of all five who were shortlisted. For Jas to win this award following Natalie’s success last year is testament to the important work and dedication to achieving our goal that is shown throughout the firm.”
The last 12 months have seen further success for Natalie and Julie in the form of their election to the Birmingham Trainee Solicitors’ Society (BTSS) as Chair and Education and Societies Representative respectively.
In addition, trainee solicitor Sharonpreet Kaur Thandi has received the Gold Prize for the Birmingham Law Society Prizes 2015. These prizes are awarded to those people in their first year of training contracts that have passed the LPC with a Commendation or Distinction in their first attempt.
