Second-year trainee
"I joined Anthony Collins Solicitors in September 2018 after being given the opportunity to work for a year as a paralegal, before commencing my training contract in September 2019. It has been evident from my first day at the firm that the values that ACS promote, do not just extend externally to our clients, but are applied and encouraged internally within the firm. The friendly and welcoming culture that runs throughout the firm is unlike anywhere I have worked before.
During my first year as a trainee, I worked in Corporate Litigation and Private Client. As both departments are completely different, I have gained a wide range of unique experiences that have better equipped me with the skills to be a great lawyer.
There are so many opportunities for trainees to socialise and meet others around the firm through both internal and external events. I have had the privilege of leading the firm’s netball team for the Birmingham Trainee Solicitors Society sports league and this has been a great way of meeting people around the firm and building relationships with colleagues outside of work."
