I advise a range of clients (including housing associations, local authorities, developers, construction professionals, social businesses and health and social care providers) on all areas of construction and public procurement law. They include: extensive construction projects, advising on and drafting standard and bespoke forms of professional appointments (including RIBA and ACE) and building contracts (including NEC and all forms of JCT) and associated documents; drafting framework agreements using various call-off methods; assisting with high value procurement exercises; and resolving construction disputes for clients whether by adjudication, litigation or mediation
I've recently worked on: updating standard amendments for the JCT Intermediate Building Contract 2011 and the JCT Minor Works Contract 2011; advising a consultant on appointments and related documentation for a multi-million pound mixed-use development in Birmingham city centre; drafting parallel framework agreements for a contract allowing call-off either by cascade or mini-competition; and providing advice to clients on material breach of contract and termination options.
