Experienced Corporate/Commercial Lawyer (preferably with some local following ) with solid transactional experience, strong drafting skills and a business development focus, to help provide technical support to junior team members and work alongside a cross departmental team of lawyers to help service and grow the expanding private sector client base.
A key element of the firm’s strategic business plan is to develop the commercial sector client base, whilst building our senior corporate transactional expertise to support the firm’s existing clients. The position requires an individual with a broad range of experience in all aspects of acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, drafting and advising on LLP agreements, partnership deeds, restructuring and funding for clients ranging from small enterprises to more substantial public and private companies. Broader commercial experience to include advising on purchasing and sales terms and conditions, drafting and advising on contracts for services and other commercial agreements such as distributor, agency and franchise agreements is also preferable.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in developing private sector corporate/commercial work across the Midlands area and therefore an established local network of contacts is essential. The appointed individual will also need to demonstrate entrepreneurial flair, business acumen and the ability to develop effective client relations across a range of sectors.
