Richard advises clients in the housing, transforming communities, enterprise and health and social care sectors on all aspects of procurement and construction law. He has been involved in both procuring large regeneration projects and advising on procurement disputes. A recent highlight was obtaining a high court injunction for a client preventing a contract being awarded in breach of the EU procurement rules. He has extensive construction experience, advising on standard and bespoke forms of professional appointment, building contracts (including GC/Works and JCT forms) and term asset maintenance agreements, particularly on the JCT and NEC term contracts. His work also involves resolving construction disputes for clients whether by mediation, adjudication or litigation.
Professional Memberships, Publications and Interests: Richard has had articles published in Inside Housing and Home Carer magazine. He frequently presents talks and workshops for RICS, the Chartered Institute of Housing and the National Housing Federation. Richard is drummer in the firm's house band the "Statutory Instruments" and plays violin in the firm's string quartet. Richard has acted for parties in the following High Court reported cases: R.G.
