  • Alan specialises in public law work relating to children including care proceedings, placement applications and adoption
  • He has been in practice for over 30 years, initially as a barrister and for the last twenty as a solicitor
  • He has extensive advocacy experience at all levels, including personal conduct of complex High Court hearings

Professional Memberships, Publications and Interests:

Since 2006 Alan has served on the executive committee of the Association of Lawyers for Children and is accredited to the Law Society’s Children Panel

He is also convenor for the Birmingham Child Care Lawyers Group and a trustee of the charity Adoption Support.
