Housing Management

Our Housing Management team offers you a wide range of services and has a wealth of experience and knowledge when it comes to handling legal matters for the housing sector. Our Housing Management services include:

  • Occupancy Agreements - we draft, review and amend all forms of occupancy agreement for all types of housing, including leases, licences and tenancies. Our team ensures all agreements:

    • comply with unfair terms legislation and OFT Guidance;
    • are in plain English;
  • Housing Management Agreements - we use up-to-date model agreements, based on published agreements alongside our own precedents, to draft and review:
    • management agreements;
    • nominations agreements;
    • service level agreements;
  • Leasehold queries - our team has specialist leasehold expertise, ranging from drafting, reviewing and varying leases, to enforcement of leasehold obligations and leaseholder consultation. We have run a number of matters to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal and so understand the powers and procedures involved;
  • Rent Increases - we can draft or check your rent increase notices and letters to ensure rents are validly increased;
  • Service Charges - we advise on all aspects of service charges including:
    • fixed/variable;
    • enforcement;
    • changes in services/charges;
    • statutory obligations including consultation;
  • Supported Housing but Supporting People - we advise many clients who provide supported housing, and advise on and negotiate contracts with Supporting People Administrative Authorities.
