Transforming Communities
Our team is motivated by the desire to positively transform local neighbourhoods through regeneration in its broadest sense. This determination to live out our principles through our work has formed the basis of our approach for the last 20 years.
Playing our part with you
From individuals living in neighbourhoods to businesses operating in the public services arena, we are all part of the community. So everything we do is focused on transforming environments and enabling people to flourish. Working together with clients, we seek to:
-
address poverty and social injustice;
-
offer better life opportunities;
-
create better, safer environments; and
-
widen access to excellent services.
We do this by aiming to establish long-term relationships with clients that develop along with the life cycles of their regeneration and improvement programmes.
People we are helping
Our team works for a wide range of organisations dedicated to transforming communities, including:
-
community and resident groups;
-
local authorities and partnerships;
-
third sector and funding organisations; and
-
private sector developers and service providers.
We also have nationally-recognised experience and expertise in working with social landlords and schools and other education establishments.
We work with neighbourhood regeneration initiatives that improve health facilities, schools, housing, community assets and facilities, roads, highways, the local environment and enterprise.
Transforming Communities in action
Poplar HARCA, a housing association based in London’s East End, is a good example. As well as providing housing, they are at the centre of neighbourhood management initiatives, with the local community at the heart of all they do. This ensures they have the services and facilities to meet the diverse needs of the people they serve. Initiated through the hard work of local residents, Poplar HARCA is now preparing for the next ten years of its existence.
Our role involves working with local residents, directors and staff to review their governance structure and help implement future development opportunities within a difficult national climate.
Our full range of services to those who work in Transforming Communities is outlined on the right hand side of this page.
