TUPE & Tendering: Managing the risks when staff transfer

Event date: 14 July 2010

When is it?

• 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm (registration from 1:30 pm)
• 134 Edmund Street, Birmingham B3 2ES
• £95 plus VAT (free for clients)

Who will be there?

• Doug Mullen from our Employment Law Team who regularly advises both those bidding for services and those letting contracts on all aspects of staff transfers and TUPE.
• Procurement managers, contract managers and HR Managers from a variety of sectors.

What is it about?

• Staff costs are often the most significant and unpredictable costs when letting or bidding for a contract. TUPE means that staff liabilities will often shift from the old contractor to the new.
• This interactive session will help both bidders and those who let contracts understand the risks involved with staff transfers and suggest ways of dealing with those risks.

Why should I attend?

• For bidders, this session will help you to manage the risk of unexpected inherited staff costs wiping out your profit margin on a contract.
• For those letting contracts, this session will help you to ensure that you obtain the best price and to avoid re-negotiation of a contract by contractors after it has been awarded.
• There will also be an opportunity to network with others who manage procurement exercises and bid for services and to meet experts from our firm.
