Information law forum for social housing providers (Session 4)

Event date: 19 July 2010

 When is it?

  • 19 July 2010.
  • 2:30pm - 4:00pm.
  • 134 Edmund Street, Birmingham, B3 2ES.
  • £100 plus VAT per forum or £75 plus VAT per webinar.

Who will be there?

At least one of the following:

  • David Hall, Senior Associate who advises on technology and information law issues and leads our work in these fields.
  • Jane Plant, Associate who regularly advises landlords on practical data protection issues.
  • Matt Wort, Associate who advises social landlords on employment issues.

What will the it cover?

  • Brief update from us on the latest news and cases on data protection, freedom of information, environmental information, surveillance law, privacy and confidentiality.
  • Open forum for delegates to share questions, issues and solutions. There and then our lawyers will give detailed solutions, refreshers on the law or signposts.

Why should I attend?

  • Social housing providers will be scrutinised even more closely by the new TSA, driven by concerns within central Government and privacy campaigners about poor compliance.
  • Get ahead: the sector is still coming to terms with the Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations.
  • Share compliance management tips, and war stories with other providers, as well as senior lawyers who work for the sector.
  • High quality, sector-focused, up-to-the-minute, highly re-usable strategic advice at a fraction of the price for one-to-one advice.
  • A regular opportunity to look at compliance issues, that you can build into your routine.
