When is it? • 2 pm – 4:30 pm (registration from 1:30 pm) • 134 Edmund Street, Birmingham, B3 2ES • free for clients and non clients Who will be there? • Doug Mullen and Matt Wort, Associates in the Employment Law Team who regularly advise on equality issues • Senior Executives, Managers and Trustees from faith based organisations What is it about? • Equality laws can cause significant issues for faith based organisations because of the competing rights of individuals with differing beliefs. The current Equality Bill has highlighted some of those issues. • This session will help you to explore how they impact on your employment policy and practice and your relationships with your funders. Why should I attend? • It is increasingly challenging for faith based organisations to maintain their distinctiveness. • This session will help you to maintain or develop employment policies and practices that safeguard the ethos and values of your organisation. • We will also give practical tips on managing your relationships with local authority and other funders when equality issues are on the agenda. • There will be an opportunity to network with others from faith based organisations and to have expert input from our team.
